Industry Relationships
I’m often asked whether I’m sponsored. The short answer is no.
I have no contracts, no brand-imposed expectations, and no restrictions on what I ride or recommend. What you see me on is what I’ve chosen for myself.
I am brand loyal, but only after careful testing. When I find equipment and customer service that performs at the highest level, I stick with it. Performance earns loyalty. Marketing or discounts do not.
I do commonly receive pro deals and extended demos. That access allows me to test more equipment than I could realistically purchase outright. However, I maintain a firm boundary: I have never accepted discounts, free gear, or access in exchange for promotional content or sales-driven reviews.
Access to equipment also does not guarantee coverage. Many products I test never appear in an article.
If I write about something, it’s because I believe it offers real value to riders, not because I’m obligated to.
My Master’s Degree is in Experiential Education, and my goal is to research deeply, test thoroughly, and serve the community by sharing what I learn in a way that helps others progress with confidence and clarity.
If the articles here help you have more informed, adventurous days on the water, then the mission is working.
